No. Georgia has no casino on land, no tribal casino and no racetrack casino, and the March 2026 attempt to change that failed in the House. What Georgia has is one 200-foot boat that sails out of Brunswick four days a week and switches its slot machines on once it is three miles into the Atlantic. The only casino floor in Georgia is at sea
The Emerald Princess leaves from Gisco Point at the south end of the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick. The fare in 2026 is $25 per passenger, which covers the cruise, parking, a light meal and the casino. You must be 21 with a government-issued ID to board. The boat runs Thursday evenings, Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings, and Sunday afternoons; there is nothing Monday to Wednesday.
The floor itself is two of the four decks: more than 250 slot and video machines, live blackjack at $5, $10 and $25 minimums, two roulette tables, a craps table and a few house poker variants. What makes it unusual is the timing. Gambling devices may not run while the vessel is docked or within three nautical miles of its port, so on a five-hour sailing the casino is open for roughly three hours, with the rest spent motoring past Jekyll Island and back. Why there is nothing on land
Georgia's constitution bars commercial casinos, and any expansion beyond the state lottery, which has run since 1993, needs a constitutional amendment: two-thirds of both chambers, then a statewide referendum. That supermajority is where every attempt has died.
The 2026 session followed the script. The House took up its sports betting amendment, HR 450, on Crossover Day, and on March 6, 2026 it drew 63 votes for and 98 against, far short of the 120 needed. No casino amendment cleared both chambers before the session ended, so nothing reaches the November 2026 ballot. Backers have said they will refile in 2027. There is no tribal route either. Georgia has no federally recognised tribe with land in the state, so the compact system that built casinos in North Carolina and Alabama does not apply here.
